Asunción crowns the kings of the season! “Chingalán” rules the Race and Bea/Paula seize number 1
The Asunción Premier Padel P2 has closed its doors leaving us a tournament to remember. In a Ueno COP Arena that has vibrated all week, world padel has experienced a day of finals that reaffirms who truly sets the pace in this thrilling 2026 season.
The absolute reign of Galán and Chingotto
Ale Galán and Fede Chingotto keep writing their own history. The trendy pair does not let off the gas and has once again struck a commanding blow on the table by defeating Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia 6-3 and 7-5.
It is the third consecutive time they manage to disarm the “Golden Boys”, demonstrating perfect tactical dominance. With a magical and impregnable defense by Chingotto (deservedly crowned MVP of the tournament) and an explosive offensive display by Galán at the net, the duo consolidates their coveted number 1 in the FIP Race. They already have four titles this season (after Miami, Newgiza, and Brussels) and have made it clear to all their rivals that, today, they are the pair to beat on the circuit.
Bea and Paula sign the comeback and the overtake
If the men’s final was intense, the women’s was a true battle of endurance of almost three hours. Bea González and Paula Josemaría achieved an epic comeback against Delfi Brea and Gemma Triay.
After dropping the first chapter, Bea and Paula knew how to reset their strategy, imposing a solid and flawless game to turn the scoreboard around and take the glory with a 4-6, 6-3, and 6-3. This fourth consecutive title is not just any trophy: it means the mathematical assault on the number 1 of the 2026 FIP Race, snatching the top spot precisely from their rivals in the final.
Next Stop: Buenos Aires
The circuit gives no respite and is already packing its bags for its next stop. What has become crystal clear in Asunción is that the level of demand is through the roof and only those who manage to maintain a solid and constant performance match after match can aspire to the crown. The best padel in the world remains red hot!
